If you’re demonstrating something to your students, you may wish to zoom into a portion of the screen. Using the Accessibility settings on a Mac, zoom can be enabled by using the Control key and trackpad.
Enabling Zoom Keyboard Gesture
- Open System Preferences. Press Command (⌘) + Spacebar to open Spotlight Search and search for System Preferences.
- Click Accessibility.
- Click Zoom in the left hand menu and check the “Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom:“
Using the Scroll Gesture
Press and hold the Control key and using the trackpad scroll up and down. By default this gesture uses the Control Key, but it can be changed in the Accessibility settings.
