What version of Blackboard am I using?
To determine your version of Blackboard you will first need to visit your institution’s login page and scroll down to the copyright information.
Then click Installation details. The numbers in parentheses indicates the version of Blackboard you are using. Instructors and students only need to look at the first three number groups. Numbers following the third number group identifies the particular build and is only necessary for administrations.
In the example below this institution is running Blackboard Learn 9.1 – April 2014 Release. (2014 = Year 2014; 04 = April)
In the example below this institution is running Blackboard Learn 9.1 Service Pack 13.

Please report the issue to your campus’s Blackboard helpdesk so they can submit a ticket through Behind the Blackboard. There is currently no way for an instructor or student to directly report a bug to Blackboard.
Where can I see all recently added content?
Can I hide courses from previous semesters?
To hide old courses hover over the top right hand corner of the My Courses module and click the image of the cog. From the ‘Personalize: My Courses’ page you can uncheck that courses that you don’t want to appear. If your institution uses ‘Terms’ you can just uncheck the term you don’t want to appear.
NOTE: Your institution may choose to remove this customization option.
Why am I missing some or all courses?
Some institutions create Blackboard courses for all courses while others only create courses based on requests. If you are missing a course that you are suppose to be enrolled in please contact your Blackboard helpdesk.
How do I request a course?
Blackboard course creation varies for each institution. Some institutions have courses automatically created through your Student Information System while other institutions manually create them. Please contact your campus’ Blackboard helpdesk.
