Embedding a Twitter Feed in your Blackboard Course

Twitter has become a popular tool in education, so why not implement it in your Blackboard course?

Create your Twitter Widget

  1. From Twitter, click your profile picture then Settings.

  2. Click Widgets from the menu.

  3. Click Create New.

  4. Select your feed type: User timeline, Favorites, List, Search, Collection
  5. Click Create Widget.
  6. Copy the Embed Code.

Steps to Embed in Blackboard

  1. From a content area, click Build Content > Item. Twitter feeds can be embedded anywhere a text editor is available.
  2. Within the text editor, click the HTML icon.

  3. In the pop-up window, paste your embed code and click update.
  4. Edit any additional Blackboard settings and click Submit.
